The illustrator of a book, Soosh, talks about her fairytale illustrations.
While I was looking up Soosh to write this piece properly, I stumbled upon her YouTube videos. If you've watched her work, then you'll realize it's as if the fairytale of dreams was revived. By also adding her voice into the shape of stories, she makes an all-encompassing experience by bringing the fairytale characters of her work to life. Continue reading, but ensure you check out her YouTube channel and sip a cup of hot tea. Get ready to enjoy a fairytale-themed night.
We spoke to Soosh about the key to capturing the little details of life every day in her artwork
"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was born and raised by the people. I identify myself with no religious, ethnic, or national background or other. I am spending my life looking at people, myself and others, diving deep into the details of everything. It's not an easy path. that's why I've not chosen it in advance, but I am doing it. In terms of conventional art education, I have none whatsoever.

Though I'm aware there are different ways of drawing and painting that we call styles, I never gave an ounce of thought about what sort of style my drawings would fit into. If I tried to find the words to describe the style, I would say it's an "fairytale realism" kind of style. But speaking frankly, no style.
My opinion is that the most important thing for me, as I see it, is to see with your heart as much as you can with your eyes. It might take some repetition to pay attention to the smallest of details, just like any other skill. You need to become still for a while and remain present for your present. Pay attention. Be attentive, and not hurry.
My main obsession has always been with people. Their expressions on their faces and mimicry of their actions, their gestures acts of kindness, and their flaws - all of it's so intriguing and fascinating for me. Then it's only an issue of time, a couple of pencils and a few watercolours to get into and create the everyday images on paper."
