VZJ6RfBTGUHwxvJxkGHY Amanda Northcutt, founder and the CEO of Level Up Creators. Level Up Creators
"The majority of my professional career is made up of joyful, accidental moments" begins Amanda Northcutt, founder and CEO of Level Up Creators. "My journey has been incredibly fluid. However, that's the case for most people. It's not uncommon for us to be exactly where we're supposed to be, if we're strategic and deliberate."
Her parents always joke that she never spoke until after my brother graduated from college. "My brother is a very well-known lawyer, however, it was him who occupied most of the airspace within the family home. The time he entered college was when I was fourteen and heading into high school. I came into my own when I had access to airspace within the home."
Amanda's initial gig was at the shoes store. "Everyone believed that I would be a failure due to my shyness. I completely came out of my shell and began selling shoes with a vengeance and setting sales records all over the nation. It was amazing! I was enthralled by business when I was just sixteen and decided from when I was a teenager that this was the route I'd like to take."
In the following years, Amanda attended university and joined forces with a friend who had started a site and wanted someone to sell ads on it. "This was in 2005. Selling online ads was similar to banner ads. It was like selling air! I heard the phrase "no frequently and was able to overcome any doubts about selling to customers pretty quick," she remembers.
In the deep to the very bottom
"I got my chops from being in the middle of the ocean,"" she says. "I was able to convert that little selling gig into a larger sales role at a newly-established company called TexAgs.com and was there for a long time. It was here that I learned the most about how to run the business." She was able to figure out the concept of membership, recurring revenue increasing value, maximising LTV as well as the selling of sponsorships.
"It's not just a fun tiny website no more. It's the largest college fan website anywhere on earth. It was my second experience working at the site and I enjoyed it to the fullest," she laughs. "I learnt how to run and manage individuals. This was the moment when I became enthralled with the idea of membership and the income recurring. This was in 2005. The next year, I'll remain in space for twenty years. Amazing how quickly time goes by!"
The firm attracted thousands clients who were charged $13 a month for information about Texas A&M University sports teams. "We have also been able to crack the mystery of moving from banner advertisements to sponsorships (brand agreements in the modern world of). Companies were attempting to communicate their messages to the people we wanted to reach, which is why we gave access to their messages in a specific manner that could be tracked which in turn moved the needle for those companies," she says.
Amanda adopted the model and founded Northcutt Media, using the sponsoring model they had developed at TexAgs in Texas, then rolled it out to websites similar to it across the country. "That was my first job when I was aged 22. It was a great occasion to be able to frequently travel and to do the same things."
After a few years her diagnosis, her health started to fall. "I had to get the away from work, but I also had to dial into a healthier way of life," - Amanda needed to find a way to balance her daily life priorities including her husband's health and the baby boy.
Amanda is now sharing the information about her medical experience publically and is planning to expand her sharing. Amanda has discovered that those who have work that is high-stress, demanding and stressful are more likely to suffer from an autoimmune disorder or other similar. "The more I can be insecure, the more I'm able to lead by being vulnerable," she says. "Every whenever I talk about my personal situation, a new person is able to come forward and message me asking 'could we chat? It's wonderful."
Amanda has changed the rules. "I had to be mommy. It was my duty to be a person who had the responsibility of my health, and I required a position as consultant." To get back to normal work the couple acquired their second business partner at Member Up and took it on, and made the company run as a consultant.
"I am extremely grateful for the encounter helping my fellow members to run their own companies that covered a variety of subjects. This was something you would have never thought of unless you're in the world and know there's a niche for each kind of passion The internet is full of users who are looking for the same thing that like you." After a prolonged period within the world in memberships, she switched to fractional executive work in several SaaS businesses around the globe.
With this more balanced lifestyle, Amanda reduced her work by 20-30 hours a week while focusing on becoming "extraordinarily effective" within all the businesses she worked with. She left Silicon Valley at the end of 2022to start Level Up Creators: "I wanted to take everything that I learned from the B2B and mostly SaaS industry, and apply that to the creators industry, specifically women.
"I'm extremely interested in assisting women create wealth cycles that last generations and apply their expertise by providing huge amounts of worth to their communities of people who follow them and receive an amount of cash."

We'd prefer an initial lead magnet, and then an educational program, perhaps an introductory masterclass of three components or similar to that Then we could shift to a subscription-based revenue model. "We believe that we are closely connected to the people we look up to. We are able to access a wealth of data about their lives and we want to be how they live." Amanda believes that it is the creators are the ones who provide us with opportunities to be more like themselves, are able to create opportunities for creators to make money selling items that can be valuable and help those who follow them in attaining their objectives, which results in "a positive cycle of value".
"We are more tolerant of the artists we work with than do giant global brands of the past because we're speaking with a person and not a brand. The primary objective of our company is to say, 'It's acceptable to earn money selling things because people like to buy what they can get. We don't engage in icky marketing or sales, and we don't work with people who don't provide real value to their communities. This is like tables stakes."
The future and death of brands which exist for many years
"I'm content to be in the situation where we're assisting artists once more, and increasing our efforts to help women,"" Amanda muses. Additionally, we'll be using an approach called the Fastest Path To 50 framework to assist people in reaching this objective. It's exciting!"
