Subscription Dashboard Reporting Calculation Improvements

The MRR along with the calculation of ARR
Before this, upgrades, downgrades and other add-ons weren't always correctly recorded or dealt with in regard to reports on subscriptions. The issue was addressed to ensure that the calculations could be more accurate in the future.
What changes can expect? What changes should I see in my Store?
If you're one of the frequent users of upgrades, downgrades or features that aren't included, it's likely that your MRR and ARR may change in a slight manner because of the new calculation. These calculations are more accurate than previous reporting thanks to these adjustments. If you're unsure, then you may contact us via [email ] The calculations have become more accurate than before with these adjustments.
Historical MRR Changes
Prior to this we used dates of activation as a way to determine the date of cancellation prior to the removal of MRR contributions. This was a mistake that resulted in altering the historic MRR value. To address this issue, we've updated our analytical instruments to detect cancellations on the day of the date of cancellation and then take away MRR contributions on the day of the cancellation.
Change is a prime example
Let's look at an example of the annual subscription that was activated in January 2023. The subscription was cancelled in the month of May 2023. Then it was cancelled by end of December. It is our previous MRR contribution calculation would not be changed until the close of the month of December 2023. The change could affect the MRR contribution during the time of May to December 2023.
In the earlier example our calculations immediately remove all MRR contributions to this account from the cancellation date in 2023, which is May. It is an exact MRR change calculation.
What Changes Should I See at My Store?
Certain sellers could result in an increase in the number of cancellations. This could result in lower MRRs for customers who are active in addition to subscriptions.
