"Passive" means "passed." Creating Online Courses requires Active Participation

Sep 3, 2024

In the majority of service-based companies that generate income through leveraged and passive products sound like a great concept, however there's a myriad of psychological and mental problems that could arise from stepping into this realm. There's a misguided belief that passive income is the best kind of income. Sure, you get to earn money while you sleep and get on a trip to the ocean. I get it, you don't need to market it to me.

However, what if you truly consider the clients who purchase your program? How would you feel if you don't want to head out to the ocean, but instead you would prefer to remain in the area, hold some hands, answer some questions and truly support the people who purchase your program?

Do you think that makes you a bad person for business?

Does that mean that you're onlyleveraging however you're making no passive income, so you've failed?

Not at ALL.

I'm here to tell you: Leveraged is the new black.

In addition that, passive income has been a major source of income in 2014.

Online course creators who are successful remain in touch with their clients

Beautiful, heart-centered entrepreneurs are out there creating BRILLIANT leveraged programmes, while staying CONNECTED to their tribe which is loving them for it.

In a world where your customers have ALREADY joined numerous online courses and have never completed the program, a new self-study course is white noise.

In a world where people are fed up with being forced through automated channels, lead generators and in essence, forced to go through hoops to find out how much amount of money you'd like to make and then how much you can pay the amount, online buyers are pushing back. Refusing. Deciding to wait until they can work together one-onone or as part of an intensive group which requires a lot of face-to-face interaction.

for creators of connected courses This could be GREAT news.

Myself, I don't even consider it in my genes to earn a truly passive income. My first ever real product that was passive in income was a year-long planner designed for entrepreneurs that cost $19.98. At the time of my first launch it I was able to sell 170 copies, which was absolutely gorgeous. Then, I began sending out emails and messages to people who had bought it to make sure they were filling it in, to find out whether they were satisfied with it as well as to give ideas on how I could keep it alive throughout the year.

It is not an income-generating product that was passive. Actually, I had a long time chasing those who purchased it to discover what they thought and help them use it!

One year later, I launched my Heart and Soul planner again in the latter half of the year of 2015. This time, it included two group sessions that were live: One where I walked all participants through the page by page, answering questions and giving recommendations, as well as a third workshop in which I assisted individuals come up with their own strategies for implementation to make sure the planner did not become just another dust collector.

In transforming my product that was passive into leveraged product I found several advantages for both buyer and seller alike:

  1. I felt more CONNECTED to those who bought and I could make sure that people got great value - felt good for me, and good for them.
  2. I came up with a TRIBE. it was a live call together, and people were connecting with each fellow participants, cheering each other for each other and offering suggestions and ideas. The focus was not on divide and conquer - instead, it was about uniting and make connections.
  3. People were able to KNOW me - and therefore, my KLT (know and trust) factor skyrocketed.
  4. The CONVERSION into higher quality products was amazing - out of the 256 women who purchased this time, around, three have become VIP customers fourteen of them have enrolled in one of my signature programs, and at least 20 people have enrolled in my business academy only in six short months. The conversion will keep happening all through the year, I believe.

So the next time you're contemplating and planning your next program, course or product, think about giving consideration of designing something that's more energised, as well as less passive. Sure, you might have be more consistent in your perform your work more regularly.

You never know, you might just discover that you enjoy it.
