"Vancouver is enveloped by stunning scenery, and so I went out every day and I tried to take a break in the mountains" Frauke says. "I first had a desire to capture the experience using my smartphone camera, and uploaded my photos to the internet to share with friends. I invested in the DSLR after a few years and, well, here is where I am now."

Inviting viewers to experience nature

Although not all people are able to afford lengthy hikes through the mountains, Frauke's goal is to provide viewers with the very best experience. "I attempt to draw viewers into my images and make them feel like they're there with me in that moment," she says.

Frauke will also be bringing viewers along with her travels and revealing to them nature's beautiful wild beauty and her photographs will be able to create a more lasting influence. "If 10 people view my photographs and think"Hey I'd like reconnect with the natural environment and help protect this earth with greater urgency and for the future, that's something to be proud of," Frauke says. "It is the most effective way to connect with the place my heart truly is."
