If I am free, I like to do 30-minute-hour study or explorations, where I can do whatever feel like the day. It was a huge help in my development, however it also allowed me to discover the kinds of activities I liked.

These days I really like to pay attention to color, light, and how to explain things in a way that is simple so that I do not have to be too detailed in everything. I tend to keep my shapes pretty close to real life However, as time goes on, I'm looking to push shapes more and become more artistic with my art.

If I begin a painting, typically, I love laying out my main shapes first either in BW, or simply straight using colors. When I believe it's important first, I begin with linework initially. When I've got a solid base I like to map in the light shapes and shadow shapes onto separate layers. Then, I create or render the image, usually going from big to the smallest of specifics.

To create the Streets of London painting I utilized a similar technique. To ensure clean edges and keep things organized I used a lot of layers. Additionally, I had the main light layer on another layer.

Layers also help me worry less about making mistakes, but once I'm happy with where I'm at with the work, I'll begin to merge some aspects, while keeping only what I feel is essential.

Colours for me are very often a "feel" factor, so I just go for those that feel right. There are a variety of references I consult to assist me in choosing the perfect colours. Sometimes I mix references and others I use only just one.

It's definitely beneficial to study the theory of light and colour, so you know what you can do to make your general colour scheme and value more pronounced.

It's a bit difficult for me to define what the most important thing I do to create my work... I just like to explore diverse styles, techniques, and subjects and am in the spirit of other artists.

I'm still so early in my art journey and am very much still trying to discover my identity as an artist, and what kind of style I have. One of the main differences in my life is that I don't think about it nearly as much as I used to , and I'm sure that's making a lot of difference.
