Collage collages with minimal design - CreativeMindClass Blog
The other day, I was able to catch Olga posting stories on Instagram of my neighborhood from childhood. Within Warsaw's concrete jungle, there is a lesser-known, revered green zone. I would visit it in summer time to gaze at the beautiful pine trees and take a breath of fresh air inside my urban lungs. In her tale, Olga visited this area in her first visit, but she was also fascinated by one of the oldest backyards in Warsaw. And I bet that soon she'll create the Boernerowo-inspired painting.

We inquired with Olga what she uses as the basis for designing her minimalist collages as well as paintings of human-shaped landscapes
"My name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since the age of a youngster, I've been drawing and painting numerous times. I went to an art school in high school. I also took classes in Drawing as well as Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm a painter, illustrator, and sometimes graphic designer. Through my work, I concentrate on the connection between humans and nature, carefully observing the way we create nature in our own backyards. Through observing trimmed hedges, decorative plants, and meticulously designed home gardens I'm capturing the mysterious nature of our immediate surroundings."

"For several years I have created minimalist collages. These collages were inspired by landscapes, still-life, or were created as a result of explorations with textures, shapes and colors.

My work is diverse as collages and painting differ in many ways, however they have one thing in common: they are soothing. I've heard the term "soothing" often from my fans, and I think that it is an accurate description of the essence of my art. When I'm bored of drawing, I do collages and vice versa. One style is a temporary getaway from the other.

I think observation is key. I pay attention to everything that surrounds me, the environment, architecture and objects. The result is my art. In my works, you are not able to see the human , however, we get the feeling of human beings in hedges or in a cup placed on the table."
