Collage art - The CreativeMindClass Blog
In the afternoon of Sunday, I discovered Olga sharing Instagram posts about my hometown from my youth. Within Warsaw's concrete jungle, there is a lesser-known, holy green space. I would visit it in summer time to gaze at the beautiful pine trees and take a breath of fresh air within my urban lung. In her story, Olga visited this area on her first trip, however she also got mesmerized by one of the oldest gardens in Warsaw. And I bet that soon she'll create an inspired Boernerowo painting.

We inquired with Olga what she uses as the basis for designing her minimalist collages as well as artworks of human-shaped landscapes.
"My name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since the age of a kid, I've drawn and painted often. I attended an art school in high school. I also was a student of Painting as well as Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm a designer, artist, and illustrator, and sometimes graphic designer. My work is a focus on the relationship between nature and humans, paying close attention to how we influence nature in our own backyards. Through observing trimmed hedges, decorative plants, and meticulously designed home gardens I'm trying to capture the strange environment that surrounds us."

"For some time, I've also been creating minimalist collages. The collages are inspired by landscapes, still-life, or were made as the result of experimentation with forms, textures as well as colours.

My work is diverse because painting and collages are very different, but they share one thing in common: they soothe. I've heard this phrase from my audience many times, and I think that it best describes the nature of my art. If I am tired of painting, I create collages, and vice versa. The one style serves as an escape from the other.

I think observation is key. I am attentive to all that surrounds me, nature, architecture, and objects. All this is reflected in my work. My artworks don't see any human , however, we get the feeling of humans in the hedges that are trimmed or in a mug that is left on the table."
