Chris Newman Builds an Online Course in Business Teaching Drone Flying

While Chris uploaded more drone-flying video on to his YouTube channel, numerous viewers would post questions through the comments section of the videos, and occasionally, through direct contact with him.

In April 2014 Chris published a short video on the channel YouTube channel to reveal he planned to develop an instructional course on drones flying. In essence, he invited anyone who wanted to know more about drones to reach him for questions. The questions did not only aid in the creation of the outline of his course, but they also helped him create an email list of individuals who explicitly told him they were keen to take his course after the course was created.

In the beginning, when Chris designed his course online He used his WordPress website with an e-learning theme as the host for the course. Chris uses WebinarJam to host his webinars. Then, the webinars are promoted using Facebook and Instagram Ads to promote the webinars. First, he used image ads at first however after some time Chris switched to video ads and saw better outcomes. A majority of those who see his advertisements sign-up to attend his webinar. of those who do sign up, around 30% will attend the live webinar (this is the average percentage of people who attend webinars that are live in any field).
