Jo Kelly isn't your average acting instructor.

Actually, she doesn't make use of the term "teacher" even once "I am not in the way of giving people instructions on what they should do" she says. "I aid people to not act in a manner that is not appropriate."

Through exercises that are experiential, Jo coaches mainly actors and artists of any kind in addition to non-artist "seekers" in the process of learning how to find inner freedom and become the most real versions of themselves. This way, actors have the ability to let go of performing and begin acting and becoming. "I want to become a midwife more than a teacher because I aid people to come back to their authentic self and rebirthing," she explains.

She believes the success of an actor lies in their happiness and ability to dedicate themselves completely to the character they play. "When the character's story is protected completely, the whole story is told, and people are affected," she says.

With her distinctive style of coaching actors, she assists them to get into the child's imagination, passion and fun. What does this mean? They offer an authentic, live, and unadulterated performances.

In the year 2016, Jo changed from coaching in person to establishing an online company via . Since, she's led 3 consecutive education journeys and she's helped more than an 8,000 people. She conducted research for her subject.

Jo has taken a new path towards acting.

Born in Belgium Her birthplace was in Belgium. She completed her MBA following which she became a specialist in human resource management as well as the psychology of systems. After that, she worked in corporate coaching. "The working environment at work was not as if it was the same one that I had grown accustomed to," she shares. "I chose to leave all my possessions and relocate to Paris to start afresh ."

One of the reasons that she chose to begin over was to attempt acting. This was something she had been in over. She was driven, dedicated and devoted all her energy and funds into learning to become the very perfect actress she can be.

Despite her dedication to the craft, she says she is a decent actor, but not the best actor. Much like many actors, she had issues with stage anxiety. "Most of my actors experienced similar issues," she says. "We all were extremely passionate about acting, however, when it was our turn to play we were nervous. ."

She became curious about the obstacles that were preventing herself as well as others from becoming good actors. "My curiosity turned into a passion," she says. "I would like to understand why actors are so dedicated and intense decrease when the time comes to perform. ."

For the next several years, she researched the factors that make actors feel restricted. Her research brought her to the conclusion that when children play they're in a state of freedom. When adults play they're deprived of their independence because of societal pressures. "When I realized this and realized that I was a victim, I devoted the remainder of my time really aiding actors to break out of their limitations in order to be able to look and perform with the same childlike energy that they used to have," explains Jo.

She started as a coach

Jo's experience in research inspired her to research different methods for healing through somatics and later tested them on others through either group or private coaching in early 2000. Following a couple of years Jo has named her company to be Or Not To Act.

She soon realized those she coached were lacking dedication. "No no matter how committed my colleagues were, they couldn't be asked to keep up their commitment to attend every day. We would get together every three days during the week however, there wasn't any accountability in breaks. People were known to throw the ball away quickly when they weren't with me." Jo declares. Jo.

She decided that online courses would help students stay on track to their daily routine. She describes her online classes as "journeys," and the beginning journey she leads students on is The Reset: From Resistance to Freedom. It was developed by her in 2014. "I set out to develop The Reset so that I could help people through the 33 days of The Reset," she says.
"Since that it's available on the internet, users can do it at their own speed and make their own schedules."

Jo believes that we were all born with their true essence but then society's conditioning forces us to act, think, and feel according to a certain manner. According Jo, the goal for The Reset is for people to go through daily exercises to shed the conditioned and re-discover their natural essence. Each day in The Reset, Jo offers recordings of exercises. Jo provides 2 Q&A and two group work via pods, and a second semi-Q&A in which Jo responds to frequently-asked questions via the group on Facebook.

Being able to adjust the timing of an online experience allows Jo's guests to take sessions at at any time, whether they're awake, prior to when they fall asleep, and whenever they find free time during the day. "The best part is it lets participants to arrange their sessions work within their plans," she explains.

She created an online company which allowed her to live with more flexibility in her lifestyle

When Jo first began her own online Reset experience, Jo was able to log each daily session on her website. In the following years she moved to Reset after being encouraged to join the platform through her trainer. "You people know the way you're going, but I don't" she states in a smile.

Since she began coaching on the internet Jo's lifestyle has altered. As she was conducting the interview, she phoned from the hospital, where she spent time with her daughter. "Eight decades ago, my daughter was born with the genetic disorder and is in need of hospitalization every monthly," she shares.

" allows me to be a mom, and also manage my day-to-day life as I run my business, even when I'm at the hospital while my daughter gets her regular transfusions" She adds. "Working online lets me take care of my daughter in the way I would like to and stay always at home to her. I am able to go to the hospitals for medical issues while still being able to be a professional I'm enthusiastic about without having to be difficult time ."

She created subsequent journeys

When people complete The Reset, they have the option of going on A three-month program known as The Purposeful Actor. The program offers a daily 3-hour class for 12 weeks. "The participants here are a little more autonomy when it comes to accountability and showing themselves. They have a lot of tasks to be completed daily, but they should not rely on me for motivation to finish it. They have to find their own purpose, which is why they're in this place." Jo writes.

Jo is also available for Q&As through the journey of the purposeful actor, which occur every three weeks. After having successfully completed The Purposeful Journey you are able to opt to sign up for a year-long membership known as BAMF Actors In Action, in reference to Bad-Ass Mom F***king Actors In Action. "I made this membership in order to help those who have successfully completed the two journeys would like to keep moving forward," she says.

It's been running for four years, and it includes a one-hour each month of content, as well as group sessions via weekly pods. There is also a monthly Q&A sessions with Jo the host, as well as a 6 hour summit once every three months. "The membership lets people decide what they'll do in order to go into the world and be the person they're meant accomplish, meet with professionals in the industry, and write their own content and raise the standard of their instruments," she explains.

She worked with artists of all kinds

As per Jo Jo, the vast majority of her clients on her classes are actors. There are also those who are writers, artists as well as dancers, storytellers and musicians, in addition to normal people who "want to overcome their physical abilities," such as mothers and professional athletes like broadcasters, professional athletes, and therapy professionals. "Freedom is a concern to everyone who wishes to be fully expressed," she says.

As the trips are run by a tour guide in English the journeys attract travelers all over the world. "We are an eclectic group of people, from all continents, but the majority of us come from America, Europe, and Australia," she shares.

Most of her audience is in the 20-50 age bracket. They also include people at their third decade of lives. And it's not uncommon for her to invite guests aged 70 and over to come along with her.

The client allowed her to do the talking

Regarding marketing her journeys, Jo says the word has spread mostly via the words of mouth.

Her homepage is on her website She's also added a web-based testimonial reel. It gives social proof to her work and increases the credibility that her efforts have. Plus, website visitors are able to sign-up for the newsletter she sends out on her site. In order to collect email addresses, she gives two training sessions for free in order to get leads on board: Don't Try To Be a Superb Actor To Give Yourself the Chance of Being Good as well as The Instinctive Actor. These workshops not only help her collect information from her readers but they also provide the participants a glimpse of the how she coaches.

Additionally, she updates her Instagram page, that has over 10,000 followers. She also gets media coverage from being interviewed on podcasts, blogs, as well as magazines.

She opted for a price that is affordable.

Jo wants to keep her travels affordable for all, as actors tend to have a fluctuating income. "If you visited the class every week, it would cost approximately $300 to $400. The majority of time, you'll sit down watching other actors perform the scenes, and at times, you get a turn," she says.

"These web-based travel alternatives are a much cheaper alternative," continues Jo. "The worth of our trips are 10x what we sell to our customers. ."

The Reset is priced below $1,000 USD. Purposeful Actor costs $1,250 USD. A membership fee of $270 USD is charged for one month.

She stayed in her zone of brilliant

While she's chief of To Be Or Not To Act, Jo is firm in her determination to focus all time in her zone of expertise, which includes creating material and coaching. She doesn't feel tech-savvy she prefers staying "in the flow" doing the things she excels at. "The other duties of managing a company isn't something I'm interested in because it's not my area of expertise," she says.

Jo believes that her success is due by hiring a coach from early on. In the end, when the time came to make perpetually-green adventures, she chose to give it a shot and enroll in a course of $20k to learn the best way to go about it. "It was quite a stretch and required me to get an loan of half the amount. It was a good thing that I made it happen," she shares.

She is of the opinion that anyone could create a profitable online business. But, she advises that it's not an easy job.

"It is a commitment that requires determination and dedication You must believe in the work you're doing. It's what I've accomplished since I switched careers at the age of twenty-one and will continue to take on. This passion makes it so that even in times of difficulty and I'm not willing to give up ."

Her creation was born from her heart.

She suggests online entrepreneurs keep their eyes open to the tough task they'll be required to complete in order for establishing an online enterprise. She advises you to only undertake the job when the subject they're teaching is one that's near to their hearts.

"The difficulty is that at once you are a part of social media, everybody is coaching you and everyone will tell you how easy you can make millions of dollars in just a few moments, however this is not true," says Jo. "It is true that when you are involved in an interest that you're committed to, you will be able to be able to reach out to people with a greater impact than the average person. It requires effort, and also falling but then getting back up. You need to be coached in order to work hard, and earn funds until your foundation is built ."

Similar to Jo When you create your business from the heart It provides you with the determination to endure the tough moments.

"An online business isn't just an opportunity to make cash. It must be designed by your own heart and based on the purpose of what you're doing. In the event that it isn't done it, you'll drop off because the ball will appear too heavy." she explains.

"If you're doing it for the right reasons and you're prepared, you'll overcome the hurdles. If you're looking to make quick cash, it will be impossible to manage the challenges. My advice is to apply your interests towards your core. It's crucial to do your best at your job because you're facing a high level of competitors. You must be able to rely on the work that you're performing. ."

Her integrity was maintained through her work

If asked about the changes in the online learning industry that we might expect to see by 2024 Jo believes that there will always be an abundance of online classes. Jo states that the most important difference among the "McDonald's" classes and "gourmet" courses will be those that were developed by a skilled professional who has integrity.

"When there's an abundance of items, you'll find two types of work online. There will be McDonald's kind of courses. Then there will be high-end and gourmet classes. There'll be plans to achieve something or do the other with your life that doesn't originate from a source of integrity There will be people who have been through it for long time," she says.

To create an unforgettable dining experience She suggests going back to the basics.

"There is an incredible opportunity for any person who is driven by their hearts and desires to do good," she continues. "The individuals who are in need of your assistance will locate you ."

"I'm satisfied that it lets us connect as people in matters which matter to us. It's incredible."
